    Description

    This is a rare Model 1855 Artillery Hat Cord used on the Hardee and slouch hats.  Note: this is NOT the more common red artillery hat cord made during the Civil War.
    This cord has tassels that are much longer, and is a much heavier wool cord than the more common hat cord.
    It is in perfect unissued condition.
    A great piece of history from before the Civil War!
