    Description

    This is a handsome pair of original Civil War double-border Infantry Captain's shoulder straps.  Unfortunately the soldered wire loops that hold the pieces of the strap together are missing from one strap, as are the very small brass clips that were inserted in the loops.  It would be an easy fix for someone adept at small solder repairs, or a jeweler.  They display very well, and would be an attractive addition to any insignia collection.  Guaranteed original to the Civil War period.
