    Issued by The Confederate States of America
    - In order to raise funds for the war effort, the Confederate Government issued interest bearing "War Bonds" where citizens would give the Government money for "The Cause" and they would receive this coupon. After the war, they were to be paid back in full with interest. Many Southern families lost their entire fortunes through these loans, when after the war, these bonds became worthless with the fall of the Confederate States of America.
