    Nice Small Civil War Confederate Canteen
    DESCRIPTION:
    Very unusual Civil War Confederate canteen. Clearly made as a canteen, with 2 pair of cross pieces soldered on to hold strap. Also has characteristic convex sides. And, with the small size, 4 1/2" diameter, so typical of early state canteens. 1 5/8" wide.
    The material looks old, and the points of soldering the pieces can be seen. It looks like a galvanized material. It has a separate threaded top w/cover soldered in. Scans show it all.
    A great piece for display or to add to a collection.
