    Description

Here's another neat group of relics found along the shoreline around the old Union Prison Camp, at the mouth of Chesapeake Bay at Point Lookout, MD. This prison was meant to hold 8,000, but held as many as 20,000 Confederate prisoners. Most of the old prison grounds has been eroded, and we would occasionally find relics around the shoreline when we weren't fishing. This is a pretty diverse group that includes a brass cavalry rosette, three rivets from a sword belt, part of a snuff box, a musical key from a band instrument, and an odd Eagle coat button that is back-filled with lead (?). Notice that these have all been turned green by the salt water. A real neat group for your collection, or one that makes a very nice display on it's own. Plmk if I can provide any further info or photos. I am happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases whenever possible, as long as you wait for me to invoice you. Thanks for looking, and stay safe.
