    Offered in this 7-day auction is a Civil War Period Brass Table Bell.  This is a beautiful and ornate brass bell exhibiting engraved patent date years (around the top collar) of 1856 and 1863, respectively.  This comes out of Charleston, South Carolina.  It's likely uses would be as a hotel desk bell or plantation servants table bell.  A rare to find early Southern item.
