    Description

    This
    INTERESTING
    notgeld set and envelope are from the town of Sömmerda.
    These illustrations depict the
    FAMOUS
    Dreyse Needle Gun.
    It was the main infantry weapon of the Prussians beginning in 1841!
    Of interest, each note has an
    EMBOSSED
    seal seen near the signature.
    Also included is the
    RARELY SEEN
    envelope in good condition (small tear near lower part of crease).  The notes were originally sold in this envelope and
    were often thrown away!
    Beautiful UNCIRCULATED notes with no creases or bends with the largest measuring about 3 inches by 4 inches.
