Bible measures approx. 4.75 X 3.0 inches and approx. .50 inches thick , 316 pages . Inside the front cover is a paste-in from The New York Bible Society dated 1864 the same year the Bible was published . On the ffp is an inscription ( see picture ) it appears that inscription states the bible is a gift to Sallie App from the Bible's owner and I cannot read the name  , same page has an edge tear . All text block edges are gilt , binding is secure , text is in very good condition with no damaged , missing, or loose pages . Hardcover is firmly attached but does have numerous edge chips . Published in New York by American Bible Society 1864 . Condition is solid But fragile , Bible is also very clean . Bible text is in English having been translated from the original Greek .
